Aloha from Genting!

Peeps, me now is at Genting, sitting at McD, using the wifi, typing out words, to update this blog. ;)

Picture0013

I'm not acting cute, the hand just naturally pose there when I take this photo. =S

Me is like on holiday. Or at least a lil' getaway from my busy busy schedule every single day and I get to sleep a lil' earlier cos there would be no wifi at my hotel room. Therefore no internet to distract myself from my beauty sleep.

Oh, I am actually here for the Genting Trail Blazer that I was so eager to join few months ago but couldn't find a partner cos it's a partner race instead of an individual one.

Check that race out, here. It is actually a 14km cross-country race, comprises of on-the-road running, off-road trailing in the jungle, uphill, downhill, obstacle tracks and the rest you will know when I blogged about it after I experienced it.

So now I have a partner for the race already! ;D

He has been occupying my laptop for the whole day since very early in the morning we reached Genting and I only get to use it now, at night.

I've been here for too many hours to finish walking this Genting Highlands place for a few times already. I will see what more can I do after I off laptop, leave McD, disconnected from Internet and back in my room.

Anyway, wish me luck on my race on Sunday! Hoho. ;D

When the Gs spell C-l-i-q-u-e

I need to update this. It's been in my draft for agesssss (exactly one month ago) and I would feel guilty if at the end I don't update it.

I did mention before I was going out with my lovely high school mates when I had my mid-sem break. So the 6 of us FINALLY got together in 'full team' after like one and a half years of separation.

G-Clique
G-Clique full team. ;)
(I didn't purpose make my name cuter, they really call me that. Haha. and I think it's really cute. =D)

It doesn't and wouldn't sound that long, but then again, during high school years, we used to see each other like every single day, some of us even have the same tuition class. After that, the whole graduation and separation thing, you get the idea.

Anyway, the day was fantastic! We had great time catching up and bullying each other.

Now the photos will speak! ;D

Oh Su Lin and Liow Ying Tian (Yeah, we usually call their full name) reached first and had lunch at Nando's, Gurney Plaza.

SDC1414edit

We kinda scream a lil' when we see each other, like you would see in some American movies, how the bimbotic blonde would act. It's been toooo long, can't help it.

We already had our meals from home, so I just ordered my usual favourite Sparkling Apple drink. I like experimenting different drinks offered in restaurants, so I usually never repeat my drinks' order in subsequent visits to the same restaurant, but Nando's Sparkling Apple is the only drink that kept me hooked on.

SDC14151
Sparking Apple and my Red nails.

I would rather spend a lil' more on that drink than the bottomless drinks they offered. But oddly enough, there's nothing so special about Sparkling Apple and you can probably make it at home. It's just plain soda, processed apple juice and aloe vera and a piece of lemon on top, really nothing so unique, but I just love it. ;)

While Oh Su Lin was still eating, I kept wanting her to take a photo of Lee Phey Chien, Lau Hui Theng and I. So she very uncommitally took it for me.

SDC14134-tile

Even the last shot didn't really work out, that Lee PC moved a lil'. Geees. Fine, go continue with ur chicken.

Some other photos. ;)

This chao ah beng person is an inside joke. Jelly is the one who typed it.

After lunch, we just walked around the mall. Took funny photos and things like that.

This,
SDC14194
is Oh Su Lin's best friend, named Piggy.

Let me tell you why. While she was shopping, she suggested that one day we should tie pigtails hairstyle out together.

Like this.
SDC14195

Yes, very omg-scariest-nightmare. Poor Jelly had to be victimised for her geli demonstration.

So automatically none of us would do that and fortunately we found one very good candidate who would do that with her, that is the Vincci model, Piggy. I reckon they would clicked very well with that matching hairstyle.

Oh, then it was movie time!

SDC14212

SDC14222

While watching, that Swine Oh (Oh Su Lin's latest name) kept leaning over to check on me. She did it so many times that the last time she did that, I threw my pop corn box at her. HAHA. Serve you right. :P

Okla, actually she did that for a purpose cos recently for almost every single movie that I watched in the cinema, I would fall asleep in the middle of it and wakes up when the movie is reaching its ending, like 4.85 out of 5 movies that I watched, I would. haha. Not that they are too boring, is just that I am always too tired to stay awake under such comfortable condition.

After I made a promise to them that I WOULD NEVER SLEEP for the next movie that I am watching with them, which happened to be G-Force. So to ensure that, she kept checking out on me and of course she didn't manage to catch me sleeping! :P

But truth is, I was kinda sleeping through the middle section, haha, but I painfully forced myself to stay awake. At the end, I succeeded, I didn't fall asleep! Heh.

After that I requested we go for doughnuts! I like eating Big Apple doughnuts! ;D

SDC14225
From top: Agent 'O', Milky Way, Tira Cino.

All of them tasted really nice! Pick these flavours to try out at your next visit to Big Apple!

We spent a longgggg time deciding where to go for dinner. It has always been a million-dolar question. So at the end, we decided to make our maiden visit to 75 degree celcius, just right beside Coffee Island, for dinner.

SDC14232

Food was okay. It was the company that makes it all fun. ;)

SDC14244
Angry kid. Heh.

We had a guest with us too!
SDC14281

This kitty cat has scared the hell out of Jelly and Swine Oh the entire time we had our dinner. It just won't leave the place and would come nearer and nearer to us. They had to eat with fear and it was a funny scene to see. haha.

Before we left, we took turns to go to toilet to secretly write a belated birthday card for Jelly. Some took a longer time to write so I lied that they all had some big business to do. heh.

SDC14289a

This card that we bought enabled us to record our talkings within 12secs! =D

SDC14295

And the very last photo of the day!!
lastphoto

Only Oh Su Lin's wide-angled camera could fit the 6 of us in one frame properly. ♥♥♥

The good times we had together never changes. It was a very happy laughing day and I really cherished every single moment of the day as it comes by quite hard since we are all studying at different places.

Anyway just a photo to show you how much we have changed since we left high school.

When I was trying to update this blog

My internet connection at home seems to be really lame cos I tried numerous times but I just can't sign in to update some lil' things here.

And for the very last time I decided to refresh the page, it just worked, and brought me right to the editting page.

And I just posted this up on my facebook status:

" At one point, I'm frustrated that I can't sign in to my blog cos I can't update it.
But at another stronger point, I'm so happpy that I have reasons not to update it, which is a GOOD reason that won't make me seem like a seemingly-busy-but-in-actual-fact-idle blogger. "

Hee hee.

Don't angry la okay. I'm already half way thru my new post entry, you will just have to scroll down to read it after I am done with it. ;D

City Run 2009

My eyelids heavily lifted themselves up and rubbed them as I strove to wake up in the early hours of the day.

I yawned while I turned to look at the time.

6.59am.
*%^&*(*$%#@#$%&(()(^%#%$^%*#

My race is officially flagging off at 7.30am.

omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg.

Half an hour to wash up, dress up, drive there, park there, pin up my race no., and to get ready at the starting line.

So many to do so little time. Because I BLOODY OVERSLEPT on my RACE DAY. =S

So when I reached in front of Komtar, which is the starting point of the run, it was 5 mins to 'taking off'. I hastily pinned up my race number with one side still flying loose, ran to the starting point, took the deepest breath, tighten just my left shoe lace (cos I don't have time for the other side =S) and off I go with our CM's official flag-off right on time.

Running in a race like this is really fun and satisfying.

At the start, a lot of the seemingly energetic and pumped up enthusiasts will dash ahead full-force, in the aim of passing through as many runners as possible and be at the front to take the lead.

I just stayed at my pace, running steadily sturdy, seeing some of the satisfied expression of those that just ran past me. It is not that I did not want to perform my best, but through experience and advices, if I were to try way too hard at the beginning stage, you would see me dragging myself to the finish line.

This does not just apply to me. You will see why.

After around 10mins of run, I can see those initial-enthusiasts starting to slow themselves them while panting quite hard. Their footsteps turned smaller and slower, their head dropped down losing strength for support and gradually they decided they just.....have to stop.

See what I mean by taking it steadily sturdy?

This time it's my turn to secretly feel extra-proud, especially when I see that I am running past the young teenage boys that have such sky-high ego that ran with all their might at the first 300m, when they forgot they still have 8.3km ahead of them to be completed. ;)

This time around I did not have any interesting encounter like I did for my recent last, except for having to run under the rain for some distance.

On my recent last at Chung Ling High School, a student from the school was running tightly shoulder-to-shoulder with me, fearing any moment if I was one step ahead, he will have to face with any kind of bad consequences.

At any point of time when I were to be slightly back-facing him, he would accelerate to keep up with me. It's funny to see how he somehow struggled a bit to protect his so-called pride, cannot lose to a girl ma right.

Chung-Ling-Cross-Country-2009-075

After some while of keeping up, that guy suddenly turned to me and said in Chinese: " Hey, leng lui, you are half way to finishing line already. Add Oil." and off he went way ahead of me.

I was thinking: Walao how dare this young kid called me leng lui, it's like I'm elder them him okay. And I actually thought he looked really familiar too; I recalled and realised he's actually a brother of my friend from primary school with a catchy name, whom I have never met for the past 6 or 7 years.

How small the world can be.

Anyway back to the race I'm still running halfway through. Haha.

I took it really steadily this time, did not push really hard, but miscalculated the finishing line, and underused my energy, however, at the end, clocked in at quite a reasonable time, I would say.

But when the results were out, I was dumbfounded.

SDC14474edit

Really, seriously. Look at my ecstatic funny-looking expression.

SDC14477

Never have I gotten such achievement in distance running, at least, I did not have anticipated to get it anytime so soon.

I expected just a Top 10 and that will do me good; Top 5 will make me smile from ear to ear; Top 3, hmmm...I just won't dream of getting it, not just yet.

But guess what?

SDC14478edit

A scary 1st Runner-up trophy in my hands!

I think I actually smiled starting from one ear, went around my head, made the 36o degrees and reached back the same ear.

Happy! ;)

That means, my 4 days per week trainings, some naggings from my dad, (minor) controls in diet and etc, paid off! There were no monetary reward but having this trophy handsomely sat on my living room is good enough when I need to brag about myself a little to guests coming to my house! ;D

Updates!

My dad just made a complain to me.

(The following conversation in Chinese will be translated below but is best if you can read Chinese. Heh.)

Dad: 嗐....养儿子女儿这么大( For your info, he doesn't have a 儿子 for heaven sake), 现在每个都在抢车用。

Me: Haiyo. 一定是这样的嘛。难道你要我们永远小小,小小这样的meh? 然后去哪里都要你载这样吗?

Dad: *silence* ( I thought he's contemplating on what I said and agreeing with what I say at the same time)
*continues* 不是啦,一定会有护花使者的嘛。

Lemme translate before I give my comment.

Dad: Haih, after the hardships raising up the children, now when they all have already grown up, they start to fight for car to use.

Me: Haiyo. It's always like that. You mean you want us to forever stay so small and tiny and kiddy? And needs you to chauffeur us wherever we go?

Dad: *silence* (I thought he's contemplating on what I said and agreeing with what I say at the same time)
*continues* Nola, sure have boyfriend or admirer to fetch around one ma. (I don't know the exact translation of 护花使者, but they mean something like that)

-.-

So my dad is complaining that I don't have a boyfriend. jiak sai. Where got father like that one.

Shouldn't he just feel proud that I am a daughter who knows what to place as priority in life and one who is willing to spend time and chit chat with him whenever there's time?

Gees. Wait till one day when I have one, then he will regret about the complain he just made. Heh.

Btw, this week is exam week. =S

My college just changed their exam format system and it is making me pull my hair and curse everytime I come out from exam room. =((

Exam is turning me into a vulgar person. haha.

We have to answer 10 question in an hour, with a 10-mark allocation for each question.

Yesterday's paper wasn't too good. I didn't manage to finish. jiak sai. I rushed like shit but I still didn't manage to 'make ends meet'. Damm it. I think I wrote too much.

Now I will have to finger cross that my writing speed will switch to some turbo mode and let me write fast and still made my hand-writing legible.

Hmmm..my sister birthday was last Friday, 2nd of October!

We just had a simple dinner maybe cos she's not so demanding like me. (But more like she didn't bother to think of complicated where-to-eat places)

Some photos. Hoho.

mum and sis

For those of you, who knows my mum, seen my mum, talked to my mum, heard my mum or anything like that, you know she has cut her hair short!

And I think it totally looks gorgeous on her! She was sooooo worried when that hairstylist made that 'chop' and she was so relieve when it turned out good.

Prettay mum I have.

sis and I

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTERR!
May you have a more colourful life as years go by. I you.

This dress I was wearing was bought from Singapore by my mum and I think it's kinda too short, way above knee length. But both my parents don't think so, my dad even told me all your skirt also so short one lah. Duiii. My dad always one to go against me.

I really like the dress though and I still think it's a bit too short. =S

Random thought. I think facebook is really getting lamer and becoming like friendster. GEES. =S People are taking lame quizes that doesn't make sense at all and making self-indulgence comment to it, like: 'WOW, it's so true!', 'Am I really like that?', 'Haha. I can't believe this test so accurate' or 'Not accurate eh. I where got like that' and a lot of other etcs!!!!

Also, posting up their progress in the facebook games that they are playing and feel very very syiok about it. omg. roll eyes. Some people would also greet 'Goodnight' to the whole world EVERYNIGHT before they go to bed.

And the request that you receive everyday. -.- I delete 99 requests everyday and it comes up another 99 requests everyday. Walao eh.

I think I should really go back to my studies now. =S

This post is all over cos I'm on an exam and I'm still updating it! hehe.

Hopefully I post up an new entry by tomorrow midnight and tell you about my recent race and everything other things that I hope to tell you too!! ;))
