I was just back from my grueling race from Genting Trailblazer Sunday night.
I had major body ache. Major.
My arms ache like shit and it started from my shoulder, so which means I can't lift my arms, even have hard times wearing on my clothes. Driving an auto-car with power steering now is also kinda straining.
My leg muscles ache. I can't even walk like a proper girl.
I have cuts, scratches and bruises of assorted hues and designs on both my legs, front and back.
Around 15 splinter cuts in total on both my palms.
Luckily, my face is unhurt and still as beautiful as it is! Haha.
The race was tough, really tough. Tougher than I had imagined it to turn out to be and the aftermath effect on my body was also worse than I had expected.
The journey to endure wasn't any single bit of child's play and as the route was designed in a single-way manner, once you started you have no turning back. You are left with the two only choices: to end the race faster or slower, that's it. There is no such thing as Vanilla or Chocolate ice-cream, I'd pick the Strawberry flavoured one, nothing like it.
It was really an amazing race and to-date the toughest physical endurance I had ever experienced. Although our final positioning of the competition wasn't as I have wanted to achieve, in my heart it is, a victory, as I recalled how I really struggled and strived till the very end. Not without my partner's tireless and persevering push and encouragement, we would have not clocked in the time when ran through the finishing line.
Trust me, this final lap has never felt any better.
So....stay tuned for my post entry on the Genting TrailBlazer 2009 race snippets!

Aloha from Genting!
Peeps, me now is at Genting, sitting at McD, using the wifi, typing out words, to update this blog. ;)
I'm not acting cute, the hand just naturally pose there when I take this photo. =S
Me is like on holiday. Or at least a lil' getaway from my busy busy schedule every single day and I get to sleep a lil' earlier cos there would be no wifi at my hotel room. Therefore no internet to distract myself from my beauty sleep.
Oh, I am actually here for the Genting Trail Blazer that I was so eager to join few months ago but couldn't find a partner cos it's a partner race instead of an individual one.
Check that race out, here. It is actually a 14km cross-country race, comprises of on-the-road running, off-road trailing in the jungle, uphill, downhill, obstacle tracks and the rest you will know when I blogged about it after I experienced it.
So now I have a partner for the race already! ;D
He has been occupying my laptop for the whole day since very early in the morning we reached Genting and I only get to use it now, at night.
I've been here for too many hours to finish walking this Genting Highlands place for a few times already. I will see what more can I do after I off laptop, leave McD, disconnected from Internet and back in my room.
Anyway, wish me luck on my race on Sunday! Hoho. ;D

I'm secretly a patriotic person at heart. I love my own country, really do and I am proud to be a Malaysian despite what people might think or say. :)
I even went for a Merdeka countdown yesterday and I invited so many of my other friends and no one is free for me loh. Argh. Stupid shit. hahahha. Anyway I had a new friend to go together with me. So it's okay!
Anyway, from KL last week, I'm now in Singapore! I reached Penang from KL early Saturday morning, busily stayed at home for two days and departed to Singapore early in the morning today.
I'm here for a Options Trading SEMINAR. Yeah. you hear me right. Seminar again. Hoho.It is held at a beautiful 5-star hotel and we are served some pretty food for tea time. :)

Our tea-time were arranged in the way that is just one and a half hour after our late lunch. So when i was walking out from our seminar room, I told myself I must not eat anymore. But then when I walked passed that food tray, I couldn't resist those the tiny chocolate cakes topped with mini mashmallows.
So I ate. Again. Gees. So much of deciding to lose some weight to improve my running. Gees.
I'm now in my small hostel room blogging about this, on my double decker bed. It's my first time in this town hostel, not the best hostel I have ever stayed, but this nice little cosy room is enough to make me feel comfortable. :)
Show you.
I like the chandelier-like lamp. :)
I have to go to bed now. Laptop battery running super low. Eyelids weighing super heavy. Tomorrow have to wake up kinda early. GEES. Goodnight. Byebye.

Shop-shop Singapore
I'm now in Singapore!! :D
(when actually my exam starts next Monday at 3.30pm and I'm just gonna reach Penang by 12 noon. I think I am mad)
I'm alone in my nice, small yet cozy hostel cos my mum and her friends went out for some happy joyful fun and yummy dinner in town while I stayed back to study for my copywriting exam on Monday.
I'm still a good kid. :)
But, Argh exam.
But but, for the entire afternoon, we have been out shopping in the city and I guiltily and happily bought two dresses and two pairs of shoes.(And my dad shouldn't be let known okay! ) Before I came to Singapore, I have already told myself NOT TO BUY anything. The most I can go is WINDOW SHOP and that's it.
The little voice in me turning upside down.
Mixed emotions and I'm in a dilemma in picking only one cos I love my purchases but I doubt I have space in my wardrobe anymore.
Geeeeeeeeeeeeees.
P.S My dad SHALL NOT be let known of the truth that I bought things in Singapore, moreover TWO FRICKIN' pairs of shoes, cos like I said congested wardrobe. He wouldn't know if I wear it later on and act as if that's my old pair of shoes. So, shhh....keep quiet!
Now back to studying.
Gees.

Ageing
The past week was crazzzzily hectic.
Monday and Tuesday: Live Radio Show (Oh! It was fun. I'll blog about it one day, hopefully I can allocate time soon!)
Tuesday: Submission for Copywriting project (plus lots of last minute work, advertisement design wasn't even done yet.)
Thursday: Photography project submission, vocal class, piano class then dance class. (3 classes in one day, crazy shit)
Friday: Copywriting presentation in the morning. Off to KL by bus right after for a seminar.
(Oh, Yes, AGAIN, me and my seminar-ssss. Ask my mum why I go to so many seminars. I have one more actually lining up this weekend in Singapore and I'll reach Penang only a few hours before my final exam time. I will take it if you are gonna give me your salutation cos I was planning to give myself a salutation too.)
Friday and Saturday: Options Trading seminar in KL (and major information overload till the information spilt and flow away from me already. =S )
Sunday: Reached Penang 12.15am and can finally take a rest, to chill, to take a breathe, to walk around Gurney with my awesome family and to write a blog post.
Seriously, it was some insane piece of timetable.
I was so so so tired on my first day of the seminar that I spent half of my time struggling to stay awake and look as if I was attentively listening to the speaker while staring downwards my note pad.
Sleepy scribbles. Tell me if you know what I wrote, cos I don't. =S
As I said, major information overload, I probably forgot or don't understand like 50% of the things I learned. Gees. Plus I was lethargic and did not have enough sleep for the entire week, how do you expect me to stay wide awake? Grrr.
And for that I feel very embarrassed everytime I had to meet eye-to-eye with the speaker. I mean I know I am not the only sleepy person in the room, nor the person he would remember who fell asleep, but I just feel so bad that I tried to avoid looking at the speakers and facilitators everytime I was moving around.
Silly shit.
Before I went back on Saturday night, I went to eat my favourite tai lok mee over at Chi Cheong Kai/Petaling Street.
Last time when I was younger and had shorter hair, as I was bulldozing my way between the crowded crampy goodies stalls, I would hear people touting: xiao jie, yao mai yi fu/bag/shou piao ma? (Miss, do you want to buy clothes/bags/ watches?)
Sometimes, I would even get like: mei nv/leng lui, lai kan kan yi fu/bag/shou piao. (Hey pretty, come take a look at the clothes/bags/watches.)
But this time around, I heard people saying: Jeje, yao mai yi fu ma? (Sister, do you want to buy some clothes?) [Sister here is not as the sister you think. Hard to explain.]
Jeje? Argh. Hello! Where did the xiao jie, mei nv, leng lui go? Damm it.
Or probably the signs of ageing. Argh.
P.S I'm supposed to take some photos to go along with this post so it doesn't look all wordy and mundane. But it's either I was in a rush or I didn't remember to take at that time. Gees. Sorry. Forgive me. Bare with the wordy post a bit la hah.

A night from the Geek in the Pink
I'm a little afriad when I decide to write this post. I fear that my inadequate vocabulary of the English language cannot match up to the great singer's talent.
But heck, he's too good not to write about. If under any circumstances that I don't knw the exact word to describe him, I can just use 'very very very very' or 'super duper uber' or terms like that tell you how amazing he was that night.
So...

Jason Mraz's Live performance, need not me to even mention, was definitely a total BLAST.
Although I don't even know 80% of his songs, besides the ubiquitous I'm Yours and Lucky, it was uber pleasurable just to listen to him singing with his superb unbeatable vocals, watching him having fun on stage, seeing him showing off his skills on guitar and embracing his quirks and cheekiness.
He's a fantabulous musician, singer and performer, all packed in one body.
I travelled all the way down to KL for his concert held in Stadium Negara and went together with my super sweet and lovely and favourite friend, You Jing.
Stadium Negara is one size smaller than Stadium Merdeka where I attended Jay Chou's World Tour concert just February last year. (I still remember it's on a 23rd!) But it was a full house concert definitely. And I think Jason Mraz's audiences consist more of pure good music listeners, than Jay Chou's crazy screaming fans.
Nothing wrong about screaming fans of Jay Chou, both of them just have different markets. After all, I'm part of Jay Chou's bunch of crazy screaming fans.
Alamak. Why am I even comparing both of them. Sorry, I shouldn't. Really shouldn't.

Our tickets were the Rock Zone category and since we hurried to get the place right at the divider, we are only around 60metres to the stage! Woot. So the ticket we bought, I think, is super worth the value.
BUT I didn't have a camera with me, besides my pathetic camera phone. So I only had some pathetic shots of Jason Mraz on the screen.
As the concert started, there were seven musicians on stage, handling the trombone, trumpet, saxophone, bass, percussions, keyboards and drums; the man himself on his signature, the guitar. The first song to serenade the crowd was 'Make It Mine'. The whole stadium couldn't help singing along with him. The whole song, how cool is that. (I think is cool la. Hehe.)
Now I cannot forget the 'hah-la la la hah- la la la I-la la la la love you' part.
He charmed the audiences with improvisational skills. So actually, singing along with him is a bit hard, cos we won't know when is he going to drag the note so long and then push it up using his falsetto and sings through the running notes and then end it with a twist that you have never heard before. But he can make it so good that you would want MORE!
He somehow has the ability to make his less familliar tracks very enticing. The entire audience will just sway along with the music, while he did his job.
The heat was at the peak when he introduced the start of his biggest hit 'I'm Yours', using his guitar, the very familiar guitar sliding melody. I was most enthused because that's the song that I really really know of. -.- Haha. I video-recorded this part of the concert using my phone. I ended up hearing myself than him singing. Alamak.

If you want experience the atmosphere that night, go Youtube, go Youtube, super a lot.
The whole team suddenly bid goodbye after an hour of performance later.
What? Ended already? It's only one hour. Then You Jing said the lights were not on yet, there's gonna be more. Then I recalled on Jay Chou's concert, true, all the singers like to buy their share of 'encore' from the audience using this technique. Hoho.
So ya, don't leave the concert on the first goodbye. They are actually asking you to shout 'encore' for them.
More shoutings, more 'We want more', more 'Jason! Jason!'...and then...
...the happy guy hops out cheerfully again!
This time with a very diplomatic cut-off sleeves T-Shirt, I ♥ KL.
I ♥ the shirt, but I want a T-shirt which says I ♥ PG, don't want KL. Haha. Anyway!
'Lucky' is up! Yeay. I thought he wasn't going to sing because he can't be inviting Colbie Caillat all the way to M'sia, to sing ONE SONG.
So we were all waiting, who is it gonna be?
"If she's not coming out, all of you will have to sing..!" with a very funny accent, said Jason Mraz.
When the Colbie's part is up, no female singer was in sight, so everybody joined in the thrill! Until the chorus...still no Colbie-to-be and then suddenly..poof..Penny Tai, appeared on the stage singing to the song.
Jason Mraz closed the concert with the song 'Butterfly' and put a beautiful full stop to the wonderful concert.
This concert is damm good and this could even be an understatement. As what his latest album says, he danced, he sang, he stole things - our hearts! Maybe it is because of his perfect vocals, his quirky moves on stage, or just his smile, this concert is definitely one to remember for long. He's so damm good! Argh.
I ♥ Jason Mraz

Singapore Getaway # Day 3
I think you havn't got enough of Singapore so I don't care I'm gonna give you more. =P
Today is Fishing Day!
Is just that we don't fish fish, we fish prawns. -.-
Welcome to the Bishan Prawn Pond! (Note that I made up the place's name. Sorry. I know it's a bit lame. =S But Bishan is really the area we went. Hehe.)

My friends are gonna bring me to prawn-fishing today. I thought, hey, this would be much easier than fish-fishing, not like I've tried fish-fishing before, but at least prawn's brain are smaller! Ok, bring it on bay-beh!
So you have to pay money, choose the rod and get your bait, and START fishing. Oh, oh, I mean prawning!
It's priced at 30 SGD for 3 hrs, you get one rod and one saucer of bait and all the catch goes into your stomach. Good or good?
At first I thought it was easy, hell yeah, the prawns must be stupid. Don't they know they live in here for people to fish them up? (But of course not like they have a choice not to live in here...)
So I excitedly started off my fishing 'debut'. =D

Geoff has the most 'expertise' in this frolic. In just a few minutes time, he managed to hook up a middle-sized poor struggling prawn. Haha.

So I was more excited. I can't wait to hook up another guy! I mean another prawn. Gees.
But I never did. =(
I tried and tried. No prawn came to my line and I kept losing the bait. Dumb dumb.
I thought the prawns were dumb. Now I found out I am the one who is. Huhu.
I used all the technique I can that I learned from Geoff to whack the fella onto my trap. Nothing work. I guess is because even they managed to come near me, they all fainted because I'm too (something). Yeah, I reckon so.
So then I screamed for help, nearly two hours had passed, I don't want to be the only person who still got nothing, when Geoff , Darren and Leah got a few victims already. =(
Geoff then came to give me his 'words of wisdom' in this prawning thingy.
And woot! Mr Prawn was hooked!
Approximately 28 prawns plus minus. Hoho.

What I mean is, you poke the stick from the back so that it can be cooked easily and nicer to yum-yum! What are you thinking?
They don't die when you poke them, their tiny 'feets' are still marching madly. Not until they are cooked.

The boss of prawning place told us, to make sure the prawns taste yum, leave the prawns on the pit: left side 1 min, right side 1 min, bottom part 1 min and top part 2 mins. And then your prawns will be finger-licking-good!

And it's so damm true.
Fresh, succulent, salty sweetness and Mmmm...leaves you unforgettable!

And..That concludes my last day in Singapore. =)

Geoff then came to give me his 'words of wisdom' in this prawning thingy.
And woot! Mr Prawn was hooked!
Approximately 28 prawns plus minus. Hoho. Then it's time for the scrumptious prawnSSS meal.
First, wash the prawns with clean water.
Second, apply salt all over them for according to your own flavour.
Then, we need to poke the bamboo sticks into the prawns to barbecue it. YUM YUM.
And for your info, prawns don't do it from the front,

they prefer the backdoor. =D

Singapore Getaway # Day 2
Let me continue with my long-ago S'pore trip back in December 08..Oh Gosh, so outdated. Sorry!
The day drizzled a bit when we woke up in the morning. Me and Leah are all packed to set out to Siloso Beach, Sentosa for a fun day out.
At the same time, we prayed that the teeny weeny rain would stop entirely and the weather would smile brightly again. (Like my million-dolar-smile. =DDDDD)
However, I was still very blown away by the flabbergasting stories I heard from Leah. I just couldn't imagine me being her. Couldn't, no hell way. Oh GOSH.
It's still drizzling when we reached Siloso Beach. But we wouldn't and couldn't care much, it's just too stupid to try to shelter ourselves from the rain when we have came so far to play our hearts out!
We played a volley ball game of 5. And having our single-arm Warrior, Gary (or how we call him 杨过), to play with us, was just truly inspiring.

As we got more energetic and enthusiastic about the game, the ball started to roll further. I didn't want the ball to roll down from the slope and down into the waters, so I ran as fast as I could to grab it. Just when I wanted to turn back for the game after I got the ball in the middle of the slope on the beach, I saw my bunch of friends walking towards me, with a sinister gaze and a the grin I only see in the Joker character of the movie Dark Knight.
I can sense the danger coming.
Before I could flee, Leah grabbed me from the top and Geoff lifted me up on my legs and..1..2..3 SPLASH!
The yellow guy is not Geoff. This photo is just a fake role-play photo. But they ended up throwing me into the sea for the 2nd time.
I know you know that I ended in the sea. Obviously.
Since I'm wet, everybody decided to jump into the sea together. Gary didn't bring any extra clothes with him, so he didn't want to get wet. But at the end, we managed to persuade both Gary and Geoff to swim with just their underwear.
Woohoo.
Gary's underwear somemore is white in colour. OMG.

I know right. It gets semi-transparent in contact with water. Hoi, don't drool. =P
And he got this two 'supermodel' to pose with. Lucky guy. Damm.
Please don't slap me. or Throw me rotten eggs. You throw at them. They say one. =D
Our stomachs then growled like mad after our swim and crazy games in the sea. In one of the games, my penalty was to run to a couple that are taking photos, offer them my help in taking their photo, and when they got ready for the snap, turn the camera and take a shot of myself and run away after returning the camera to them.
Siao eh. I was so so reluctant. This is so evil plus embarrassing ok! But in the end I still did it, but minus the 'take a shot of myself and run away' part. I took one for them before I ran away. Hope they remember my face forever! =P
Anyway, dinner time. Yummy yum yum. Hungry stomachs were heard roaring.
We had dim sum dinner at Geylang. I can't help it but kept looking out for chics. As in chic-kens, as in prostitutes. Woohoo.
As always, our nights are forever young, we continued our night at Z-Zang's place for a game of CashFlow.

It's super addictive! You are addicted to get rich, to get wealthy, to get..omg..damm rich and wealthy!

Getting out of the Rat Race (the circle), and jump onto the fast track and buy up your own dream! After that, you can everyday shake leg, watch people racing like a rat. -.-
Now, I'd love to be in the position that I can shake leg everyday, and I don't care people race like a rat or a cat.

Oh yeah!

Singapore Getaway # Day 1
My trip to Singapore was a magnificent getaway right after my final exam. It was as if I never had any exam the day before.
My bus trip from Penang to S'pore actually took a long 14 hours. As all direct buses were fully taken, I had to transit at KL, and in the fear of not being able to get a bus ticket over to there. All in all, it was a havoc journey. I even thought I left my handphone at home, and had to borrow a phone from a stranger in the bus to contact my mum and my friend at S'pore, how foolish. But at the end, when I opened my luggage when I'm in S'pore, I realised...
"EIII, my handphone is actually inside my lugagge!"
Haha. You can slap me.
The whole world was so worried about me. (Ok, I'm exaggerating.) I received 34 missed calls and 10 msges. Buahahaha.
The next morning, I headed down to East Coast Park for a day of "Roller-blading, Cycling, Eating, Hearts-connecting and Yapping" with my fellow warrior mates.
First stop was to McDonald's for breakfast.
And they made me sing 'Sway' in the restaurant and I did. Not like we didn't have enough stares from the people in there because of our uniformity and noise. They are mad people. Hohoho.
I was doubtful to do it at first. Not like I never sing or dance or do stupid things in front of public, but not with everybody giving me full stares and attention when I do it. But I did it anyway. AHO!
After the hearty breakfast from McD (plus some 'mild' sultry dance moves from Sway), it's time for some Roller Blading!

It's about 10years since I last roller blade. I have a pair of this equipment at home, but I never use it after the craze was over 9 years ago.
When I wore it, I felt funny. I have a pair of roller legs and I suddenly don't know how to walk! The path from the rent shop towards the blading lane was kinda steep, it was even harder for me recall my knowledge and skill in making my first 'roll' in roller blading.
After some 'turn & roll', I managed to get back the hang of it and bladed like there's no tomorrow..

At the same time, roll and tumble and topple..
And fall myself on my knee!
So we decided to give each other a massage.
Because it rained all of a sudden, we continued our day at the bowling ring.

And some of my crazy friends decided to give it a try playing bowling with roller blades, they never die before ma.
Then I realised I seriously suck in bowling.

Look out for the least score, that have to be my game.

After such a long day, we went to Bugis to have steamboat for dinner. The shop is a very compact place. You have to squeeze through every slight space possible to get to your seat, but you have every food for steamboat under one roof.
Shan-shan, despite being the tiniest size among us, had the greatest gut. She stood up on the chair, all of a sudden, to get a standing ovation from us. Siao eh. But of course we gave her the most thunderous applause that could ever fit into a small shop like that.
The night wrapped up with the decision of going to one of the clubs over at Clark Quay. Hoho. You'd probably guess we give each other goodbye hugs and then head back home and sleep. It's only 11pm at that time and the night is still very young!
It's my just my 2nd time to a club and 1st time on the dance floor. And I had bad experience because I was too inexperience. And argh, I don't even want to think about it. Haha.
Anyhow, take a look at the photo of the day!
